Lydia is a luxurious rain cape made with inspiration from the Stockholm novel The Serious Game, Den allvarsamma leken, by Hjalmar Söderberg. A melancholic, beautiful romantic drama with Lydia Stille and Arvid Stjärnblom as the loving couple striving to get a life together. It was my grandad’s favourite novel and I remember him reading it in front of the fireplace with tears in his eyes. The Stutterheim rain cape Lydia is handmade with classic, iconic ambitions in a special waxed cotton fabric from a factory in northern Italy. It ́s stunning we think. Simplistic, sleek and classic with a modern expression for the urban, melancholic woman. We love Lydia as much as Arvid did.

The Lydia cape is made in the finest cotton fabric from the factory of Limonta, in Italy. Limonta is recognised as the best cotton supplier in the world and for the Lydia cape the fabric has a storm protection layer which makes it withstand even the heaviest downpours. Even its hidden coin buttons are hand-hammared so, right down to the details you cannot even see, it's unique cape in every seam.

Usually we will deliver your order immediately but since some of our products are handmade in a small factory we might at some times run out of a specific size. Depending on the working pressure it can take up to four weeks for seamstresses to catch up.
